2010 Edition of Faroe Business Report Is Out |
MAY 2010. The 2010 edition of the Faroe Business Report has been published, highlighting some 35 Faroese businesses and organizations as well as featuring state-of-affairs articles on the the Faroe Islands and the country's business scene. This is the fifth volume in the series and the first since 2008.
The online version of the Report has been overhauled with a makeover of the FaroeBusinessReport.com website. For example, all featured stories are now illustrated with a facsimile from the hard cover version; also, a Flash Page Flip version has been made available.
Publisher and editor Búi Tyril says: "I'm pleased with this year's edition — a hundred pages brought to you in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
"We've kept the format as it has been since the Report first came out in 2005, however with a few editorial adjustments. For example, this time we run a special report on Faroese fashion designers to add an extra dimension to the content. And, of course, there is always a certain level of change in the line-up of featured companies." |

New Corporate Identity Could Spell Success for MicroDrop Aqua |
SEPTEMBER 2009. Copenhagen-based MicroDrop Aqua (www.MicroDrop-Aqua.com) is looking to launch its first large-scale expansion phase after the company has succeeded in attracting international capital and joint venture partnerships. The expected breakthrough happens after the corporate identity of the water treatment specialist has undergone a total makeover over the past several months. OpenEye.biz was contacted with a brief “to help make MicroDrop come across more convincingly both online and through other means of communication.”
Says MicroDrop Aqua chairman Suni á Dalbö: “We’ve been working with OpenEye.biz for about a year and they’ve helped us define an entirely new business platform, with a new website and a new look across the board. This new corporate image means we’re now able to present our company to any organization or individual — something we couldn’t do earlier; it simply wasn’t possible for us to approach government agencies or large international organizations with the old identity, whereas now we can do it with confidence. What we find to be of particular value with OpenEye.biz is the internal coherence that they help us bring into our communication efforts, a sense of master plan that builds clarity and credibility. At the same time, we enjoy the fact that they are very flexible when it comes to unforeseen conditions and short deadlines — they’re there when we need them. I would definitely recommend OpenEye.biz to any of my friends and business associates because I know they’d be in good, professional hands. As far as I’m concerned OpenEye are the best in the business.”

New Website for Maria Olsen Photo |
APRIL 2009. Photographer Maria Olsen has had a new website designed by PRnewsMedia.com. The new www.mariaolsen.com is a makeover of an earlier Flash site, now powered by the Joomla content management system. It features a gallery of selected photos, a portfolio of published works and exhibitions, as well as concise information on services and professional background. Maria contributed herself extensively to the design and content of her new site.
“This site feels good and is easily navigated compared to the earlier site. I have also sharpened some of the business concepts to add clarity and create more attraction for existing and potential customers. I’m quite excited to see how this will be received.” |
